Commercial Director Retail Veneto Friuli Trentino
Born in 1972, in Rome, Fabrizio Alfano is currently Head of Small Business-Core Clients in Intesa San Paolo.
He joined the Group in December 2010, to support the turnaround process of the Small Business segment.
He begun his experience in Intesa San Paolo being responsible for Micro Clients and in mid-2011 he became in charge of the Core Clients sub-segment. The project, which started in 2010, has seen many areas of improvement: a complete redesign of the business model with a new client segmentation splitting Core client from Micro and Professional based on cost-to-serve principles, a re-launch of customer acquisition and containment of churn and the launch of initiatives focused on short-term commercial credit lines to strengthen the relationship with clients and improve the segment profitability on an Eva-base. A structural change has also regarded the credit platform and rating system, with the important result of providing our clients with a Micro Credit line in just 2-days.
Prior to this experience Mr. Alfano worked for Unicredit Group where, from 2008 till 2010, was Head of Planning & Control and Deputy of Marketing in the Corporate Division. Previously, in the period 2006-2007, he was Head of Small Business in Bipop (Capitalia group merged with Unicredit). He worked in Spain during the period 2003-2005 where he was Deputy CEO in Safei, an Spanish Asset Management and Private Banking firm owned by Capitalia Group.
He has a strong experience as consultant having worked for Bain and Arthur Andersen in the period 1997-2002, getting involved in M&A, strategic and commercial planning, budgeting, reorganization and incentive scheme definition of the main financial players in Italy.
He initiated his banking experience in the BNL branch network in 1997.
