Martin Spona (48) is head of the department "Digital sales" in the Erste Group Bank. He is responsible for the development and seamless integration of digital distribution channels in a multichannel strategy for the entire group.
In addition to the development and optimization of new digital touchpoints (Apps, Internet banking, ATM) improving the customer experience across all channels is priority. The simplification of banking products and processes, campaign management, strategy and development of innovation topics like mobile payment, together with Fin-Techs and new business models are among his focus areas.
For more than fifteen years Spona has been dealing intensively with the needs and requirements of financial institutions, specifically with the banking of the future. The computer scientist with business education worked since 2002 at Microsoft Austria in business development and worked there closely with Erste Bank in "Multi Channel Sales" topics.
